Keyence SZ-01s safety laser area scanner with cabling kit and software for use with ZA6 robot. Comes pre-wired to plug directly into the ZA6's safety input. Provides two zones of protection: a warning zone which, when entered, limits the robot to 10% of maximum velocity, and a safety zone which, when entered, will completely stop the robot. These zones (along with exclusion areas) can be configured by the user with the Keyence configuration software. See the video linked on this product page for more information.
The 52621 Keyence SZ-01s safety laser area scanner monitors an area and if a person or object is detected, a signal is sent to stop the robot to prevent injury. Unlike typical laser sensors, safety laser scanners monitor themselves through redundant signals and will stop the hazard (ex. machine) if an internal fault is detected. These devices are now commonly used to replace pressure sensitive safety mats, hard guarding, and light curtains.
