Here's a neat idea that was shared with me by Tormach PCNC 1100 owner Brian Ulrick in Ohio:
Just got the 8" fourth axis and knew from experience that getting it on the Tormach table would be hard on the back and mill table. I made a simple ball bearing chain hoist trolley that rides on 2 x 3 steel tube for a small chain hoist. I then made a lift bracket that balances the 4th. axis so mounting on the mill with the bottom keys would not damage the table or my back. I also modified some vise lifts I use to use on my Kurt vises to work with the Tormach 5" vise.
